Hitched a ride to Morrison Camp yesterday with great sr sitters (sadly male tho.)  The road is now drivable to Cold Springs.  10-15min walk to continuous skinnable snow.  Nice breeze on the skin up in the sun.  Excellent 1" corn after noon on S and SE slopes above 9400'.  Slightly grabby 3-4" mush to 7000'. Then soft suncups to 5800'.  Melting fast it seems.

The kids skied SW chutes, 6k was enough for me and SE slope was untracked.  Back at Cold Springs I met a sponsored athlete getting paid to bike skin and ski Adams St Helens and Rainier, Tay bike skiers take note!
Sorry to hear your Sr.Sitters were male this trip.  Always inspirational seeing the company you keep.  Sounds like the perfect time to be skiing Adams south shoulder.

Must be tough to know that generations of outdoor enthusiasts have done similar things without making a BFD out of it...

There truly is no such thing as "free" gear.

Hah. A minute of searching tells me it must be this guy.

This is what the "kids" found;
