Missed the opening day at Inter Glacier, but was able to get there the next weekend.  Saw Chuck, John and the Mountaineer gang in the parking.  Since I was solo, it was nice to see other on the trip also.  Ended hooking up will a couple guys (Devon and Paul).  Climbing pace was perfect. We were able to skin from 5800, and it wasn't too slopping.  Very good corn from 9k to 7k.  No cracks showing yet, general conditions still very good.

Good report. One thing I'd add is that the snow up high was clean, smooth and fast.

Some vid from Chuck's and John's group:

It was pretty heavenly over on next door neighbor Mt. Ruth also. Very few others had been there recently, just a couple other tracks on the ridge side (and maybe half dozen into the basin that eventually leads to the Dogleg.) It was great almost-corn from the top and well into the slopes above Glacier Basin. Only perhaps last 500 vertical got the hint of sticky. One of the best snow condition days I've had in 8+ trips to Ruth or Inter. Skied inside the shady side of the little wind scoop feature in picture above, just below summit. So good it needed a lapping.

There was a pretty cold breeze of 20-40 mph that started pretty much when first gaining the ridge between GB and Emmons. Wore at least a couple layers. But was thankful for that breeze. It kept a thin almost-icy layer atop the snow that made for very fast turning even though the ski penetration was a little deeper than typical corn.
