June 4, 2014, Mt Baker Squak, Summit and Spring Corn

Yesterday I partnered with my friend on Team Tutu and skied up to the summit of Baker via the Squak Glacier. Inspired by our friends Imran and Miles, who completed the route in 8 hours car to car on Sunday (freaks), we enjoyed an invigorating Wednesday in the sunshine (and wind, boo to wind).

The trip was as expected: slide alder/forest bushwacking at low elevation, gloop in the middle, ice on the way up, and corn on the way down. Overall a super fun day with a great adventure partner.
