Met Frank Frank @ the Dutch Miller horse camp, we hiked to the valley end together which was a fine coincidence.
Also, we found mushrooms on the trail that looked like bear poop

Looks like a beautiful area. Great trip!! Too bad the road is only on weekends now all summer. Glad you got after it!

Awesome awesome awesome!  This is on my wish list along with Overcoat which I tried to visit last fall but didn't quite make it.  Beautiful photo.

The mushroom in your photo looks like a "false morel" to me. Not edible.
