Again I was very glad I went, and did not pay close attention to a rainier (more rainy) forecast I read last night.  No sleds today and no kids (under 30yo) made for a different and fun adult skin and ski day.  The weather was perfect:  blue sky, light wind to cool us a bit in the boot pack, and 1" sweet corn on west slopes.  East, south, and even north slopes are much sloppier, 3-4" mush, occasionally sliding when skied.   A Ford Explorer made the drive to continuous snow at 3600', while the Subaru Legacy stopped at 3400'.  Tomorrow more vehicles should be able to get to the end.

A strangely quite bluebird day on Silver (a rare treat). Let the party skiing begin Grin. There is some $ to be made on the approach with various types of aluminum debris melting out?
