Again I was very glad I went, and did not pay close attention to a rainier (more rainy) forecast I read last night.  No sleds today and no kids (under 30yo) made for a different and fun adult skin and ski day.  The weather was perfect:  blue sky, light wind to cool us a bit in the boot pack, and 1" sweet corn on west slopes.  East, south, and even north slopes are much sloppier, 3-4" mush, occasionally sliding when skied.   A Ford Explorer made the drive to continuous snow at 3600', while the Subaru Legacy stopped at 3400'.  Tomorrow more vehicles should be able to get to the end.

Great day riding with you all today!  Post some of those pics. :)

-- the splitboarder who left his vest in said Explorer.

I hope those girls aren't squeezing your ribs too hard . . .

It appears that he is putting the squeeze on their ribs... :D

A strangely quite bluebird day on Silver (a rare treat). Let the party skiing begin ;D. There is some $ to be made on the approach with various types of aluminum debris melting out?
