Approach notes: No snow on the trail until you turn off toward Colchuck, then it's 1/2 packed snow and 1/2 mud to the lake. The west side of Colchuck Lake is still frozen; use judgement because swimming might be in the cards. Crampons not needed on the glacier.
Direct sun cooked the west side faster than expected. Took a lap on the backside of Dragontail and descended the glacier with smiles ear to ear.
