Big KANGAROO SLIDE?
« on: 05/21/14, 04:56 PM »

Did anyone happen to notice if Big Kangaro gulley had a recent, large wet slide that may have taken the dogleg to the right and into the shared avy/drainage gulley and then ran almost to Hwy 20?

Hearsay? or direct observation? Got photos?

And what does "right" mean--skiers right or lookers right?

I'm asking a guestion and looking for a direct observation. On april 25 and 26, we skied a gulley line below the 'nipple' and at the time observed alot of wet slide debris in the area including large blocky debris in the BK gulley run out zone, but the central, lower drainage gulley was free of debris. When I drive the hwy I stop in many pullouts and look up.   There appeared to be new debris in that lower gulley so I was looking for an observation from a closer or more direct line of sight. If you have been out, you may have noticed a lot of glide cracks this year, alot of dirty wet slide debris and wet mush below whatever crust forms at night if at all.

ah, it's the most wonderful time of year and the snowpack gives us different cues every year, and yet some folks just see the same thing. I gather you don't have an observation either to my simple query. We want to be free..free from the man..free to ask simple guestions.. How does the rest go? Insert smile face
