May 13,14,15, 2014, Washington Pass, Kangaroo Hunt

A large group of us got together and skied around the Washington Pass area during last weeks high pressure. The general consensus; snow was better the farther east traveled ( due to less snow fall during prior storm?) Found good corn on west facing slopes with minor sluff issues.
Here is a little vid of what we found.

cool!  nice vid Jeff.  did you ski Big Kangaroo on Wed. eve?  such a great a run... looks like it got nice and soft. No spines for Adam eh? Western Kangaroo was definitely the golden spot last week.

from Monday (0512) -

had me humming Dylan's outlaw blues "well I wish I was / on some australian mountain range" ...I got no reason to be here but I imagine it would be some kind of change.  was asking Carl if he had the Stripes version in rotation, tho couldn't remember the name of the song at the time...

the huge discrepancy in conditions just a couple miles west was revelatory:

(Frisco bowl 0513 - Chris bringing it home)
and Carl up top before the carnage:

Unlike Charlie and Susan's experience just a few miles over, Copper NE skied alright last Sunday too:

Seth stylin' it

Zack dropping

and one more pic from the last day:

Good to have met everyone!
