Sweet-talked a few friends into skiing Bedal, one of my favorite mtns to visit. The trail is pretty good shape as long as you stay on it, but we did lose it while negotiating many fallen logs. I'm sure some will comments on this part of the approach. We started skinning as soon as reaching the snow around 3500'. The snow on the upper slope was still transitional deep mush, but it being on NE avoided getting too warm.

The view from the summit was spectacular as usual, though skiing wasn't optimal.  We all imagined how great it'd be with a foot of powder.  Maybe next season.  This was Chris's 2nd ski trip since his back recovery!  More pix here

Only in the northwest can you say "the trail was in good shape - but we lost it."

Great pics of the green and white; classic PNW. Makes me want to revisit Sloan on skis again soon, especially that east flank. Spring slop, powder memories... Still nice to be out and carrying less, never worried about the daylight hours.

Trail? What trail?

I was told the approach was a "doozy", but it wasn't until I got back home that I looked up the true meaning of that word. Yeah  Grin

I have a few pictures to add:

[doozy: something extraordinary, good or bad.]

I don't know who used that word, but kinda like it.  btw, we did find the trail for getting down (I was rather relieved).

We did do some skiing too:

Interesting. You can see Sloan from the top of Sage Hills preserve in Wenatchee when it's clear.
