April 14, 2014, Mt. Maude - North Face
« on: 04/20/14, 12:24 AM »

Chris Petry and I had a blast sledding up the Chiwawa River Road last week and riding the North Face of Mt Maude. We found 1-6 inches of light alpine pow on the north side and creamy corn on the south side.

Road was closed 2.7 miles in. Bare road for about the first 1/2 mile then mostly continuous snow from there. 23.1 miles one way. One easily negotiable blowdown shortly before the Phelps Creek TH.

Pics wont attach for some reason..

Rad report. Nice mix of dialog and pics without getting overly detailed.

Thanks for sharing

awesome!  Sounds like a huge day!  That photo from the summit down the line looks pretty intimidating.

You know I think that road is long in a truck.  I bet on a snowmobile it feels like a really long way.
