Arrived at the Heather Lake TH at 8:45 under clear skies and a definite spring morning feel in the air.
Stayed on the road most of the way, opting out of the abandoned road at ~2700' because it looked like a creek and I wanted to stay in my running shoes. Snow started at ~2900' with maybe 2' of snow in the summer lot. Should be easier access soon.
Good coverage but had to boot a few times as areas that hadn't received sun were crusted over pretty good and I didn't have ski crampons. Booted the ridge too as the sun hammered south face was pretty sloppy and loose by that time. Reached the lookout a hair after 1. Nobody home and views for days.
Nice corn up top with a few still firm spots. Mush below 3500 and a sticky spring coat for my bases.
