Stayed with some friends of friends in Banff last night. Turns out they like to party till 4 am... So we adjusted plans to a short tour to do one of the chutes next to surprise pass. Due to our late start, low HS, and our general lack of sleep we just booted up the classic surprise pass chute instead of the longer steeper adjacent chutes. About 25 people skied the chute that day but there wasn't much soft snow to begin with so it didn't really matter. Ok snow with low ski pen above 2200m.

Looks looks a great day, is the line you skied in the first picture? If so, left or right of center.
No sadly it is not. That is just the view from the top of surprise pass. That mountain is Mt. Aberdeen, information on that line can be found here http://vertical-unlimited.blogspot.ca/2012/05/alone.html.
