Went up the north face of cathedral crags from the parking area kindly plowed out by cp rail. Good skiing begins at 2100m only on NE aspects or sheltered north aspects. Below this is ok skiing on breakable crust which turns supportive around 1800m. We were shooting for the north facing couloir off of cathedral crags but the line appeared to have a 2m ice step in the choke. Switched gears to sniffing out pow which we found on the NE shoulder below the summit pillar. Pics to come later.
