I got out on the White Salmon Glacier yesterday to catch possibly the last weather window with my GF before she goes in for surgery.  The glacier seems to be in good shape but the snow was highly variable.  The best that we found was up high where it was 4" of cream on top of firm slush.  Down low it was mank on slush and at the very bottom it was sticky peanut butter on top of corn.

The ski down into the valley bottom was the most difficult skiing of the day and caused one broken ski pole less than 15 minutes out of the parking lot. :(

If you're thinking about skiing on Shuksan in the next couple of weeks time it carefully and expect to cross open water at the bottom.  The snow bridge that we used to get across White Salmon creek probably won't last longer than another week.  I'd rather go back up on frozen corn in the morning and ski good corn after lunch up high.
Sounds like you went down pretty far but where did you enter/exit from?

We went in from the ski area and rode fall line down skiers left of White Salmon Creek to about 3000'.
