Blitzed up to the Anniversary Glacier with Sam & Pablo on a classic parental schedule, 1 night out to rip it and ponder who uses hash tags in bc hut guest books. We believe the rumor of a new app #guestbook was trending in the Coast Range along with warmer temps, stronger winds and precip.

As we lapped several chutes below ridge line before and after drinking a box of left over wine in increasing winds we wrestled with the guestbook #. #snowgodsaregenerousincanada gave us a moment of thanks for the soft snow that remained from the previous weeks of pow. A low cloud deck and rain level just below the hut kept us in the 2,500' above the hut on Joffre in features that Baldwin did not deem worthy of naming.

The other question that came up, wtf with the hot springs there?

The alpine was in great shape when we left with steep north facing terrain still holding colder, soft snow.

#nofotos #whathappensincanadastaysincanada. Actually Sam and Pablo took a ton and have no idea how they turned out as I focused on several beers and poutine at the Howe Sound Brewery on our way home.
Is there still firewood at that hut for the stove?
How is the condition of the hut?
I was there a dozen years ago and it provided excellent skiing and gave us easy access to ski Matier and Joffre.  We lucked out only moderate avvie conditions with nice calf deep powder for three nights.  It was during midweek and then the hut got a lot less use.  Probably now it is heavily used.
