April 7, 2014, Summit at Snoqualmie

Summit West has a groomed snowcat track below PC chairlift, likely for snowboarders, who were being filmed in a manmade jump 3/4 of the way down that chair line.  There was also grooming from the top of Wildside down to the Central crossover, and another groomed track on the west side of the slope going about halfway down to Little Thunder chair.  Those tracks skied pretty well in the morning, off of them was 2-4" ski penetration slop even early.   Lunch at Silver Fir on the sunny deck was nice, some skiers in shorts and tshirts.  After lunch at Hyak we found quite soft snow, perhaps up to 6" ski penetration on the edges of the main north slope, and BBQ and team building games for the marketing department of a local Seattle outdoor company.
