Had a quick stop at blewett on my way back from eburg. Weather was nice, while the Stuarts and west looked socked in. Found 3-4" of heavy new snow that was poorly bonded, with greater amounts in leeward slopes and other other wind loaded areas. Predictably set off some wet slides on steeper slopes. Skiing was enjoyable, though the hard layer underneath was still evident.

Bring your skin wax and make sure your bases are waxed for the ski out!

Kinda hard to see, but in the center of the face is the wet slide.

Taken from Windy Knob I presume. That's one of the nicest runs in the Blewett area.

Is this the wet slide that pulled out?

Yes Aaron, that picture was taken on the skin up to windy knob. Indeed a good run, the top pitch was a bit touchy.

Charlie, I see what you're talking about. It actually started a little higher up, closer to to that basalt out cropping.
