Crunchy corn between Dodge Ridge chair and Pacific Crest chair before 11, then soft butter the rest of the day that did not get mushy, probably thanks to a nice 10-15mph SE breeze.  Safe sliding exercise with no need for avalanche gear or even backpack, so close to metro Seattle with road conditions most any vehicle could manage.  Beautiful views, blue skies, and of course, in such a civilized environment, we felt compelled to drive over to Silver Fir lodge for midday food and drink.  Now that Summit West lifts are closed for the season, we can play here anytime!  Hope to see more fellow ski tourists on our next visit, it was kinda lonely today.

Silas thanks for the entertainment today ! Pretty sure I saw some tutu skiers going up Thunderbird . A very nice place to be while waiting for the backcountry to corn up.
