Was down in Golden to help out with the Dog Tooth Dash at Kicking Horse on Saturday. The race went very well with nice powder conditions on some of the descents. Reiner won the enduro race and had a casual conversation with me as he passed me on the last uphill leg of the race. That guy has off the charts endurance.

Did some mellow touring in the side country north of the resort on Sunday. I have been in the area before but I didn't have great visibility. Very cool to see the numerous chutes coming down from every ridgeline. North facing chutes had ski tracks in them but the dog teeth/south facing lines were being left alone. Snow conditions were great with very light snow overtop moderate density snow and light snow over a weak crust on south facing slopes.

The backcountry to the north of the ski resort is all easily accessible with day tours from the comfy cross country ski cabin. I would say the touring around the resort is just as worth while to visit as Rogers Pass.
