Got an early start in order to beat the convective snow showers that shut us down yesterday. The intense convective precip didn't materialize but the early start certainly helped with beating the sun that was shinning mostly just on the south faces of Connaught. North faces have blower powder on them. East faces are still skiing ok but the HST sits on a layer of hard snow and is slidding easily with some propagation. Triggered a 1.5 on the east face of bruins ridge with a ski cut, 20 down and around 20m wide running for 100m on a 38ish degree slope at 2500m. HST was also easily triggered on all east aspects lower down (2000-1800m) with similar results.

Will upload pics later perhaps, need to wax skis.
Things are a little more stable down here.

Photos, find the skiers in the first two!

First photo shows the slab just starting to pull away from the skier, fairly harmless on short slopes for right now.

Second photo is of the bruins glacier just below bruins ridge. Normally I believe that area of the glacier is fairly benign, however this year there is an open crevasse at the bottom of a small bowl with slopes funneling into it. Would be fairly easy to get drawn into it in low light conditions. The track to 8812 peak also has many more sags in it then normal on the way to the col.
