Man, it's looking like a desert up there.
Hell bent to put a year of skiing together, I left my high school reunion in Everett at 1:30 AM, came to Seattle for my gear and some coffee, then in Stefan style, powered through the wee hours and found myself in the Paradise parking lot at 5:30 AM.
Yes, I am now very certain that such a schedule should be the exclusive domain of twenty-somethings...aka ten year reunion types.
I decided that scratching a muddy, suncupped patch at about 7600' was all this jibber was willing to suffer through today. The planks were bolted to my feet and made scraping sounds loud enough to frighten the other two early birds in the area...so I guess I'll call it skiing.
Saw a couple of TAYers on my way down who were headed up higher towards the Paradise Glacier. Hoping their efforts yielded better results.
