I arrived at Summit East with a few clouds. I followed a groomers single line for awhile. My run was not soft, yet. I waited but I needed to go to Plan €œB€. At West, a groomer was working near the main face. It was sunny and the snow was in great shape. I followed the groomers untracked lines. It was great to ski this weeks last sun day.  On my last run, a couple arrived and a few others.   ;)
Wow Zap, great minds think alike, sorry to miss you.  Corn harvest at West 230-345PM today was beautiful, sunny and windless.  The only missing element was Amar's bikini girls, they were still recovering from the 6hrs of driving to and from Paradise yesterday.  :(  Great to see JD today returning to better health!   https://vimeo.com/89081362  https://vimeo.com/89156673

Lift assistance beginning at 4PM provided another half dozen sunny runs on the untracked corderoy with the few other enthusiasts, including Alpental pro patrollers and lifties, before the arriving gray clouds encouraged my departure.

Toured up Creek Run @ East with XCD gear, approx. 4 PM, getting the last goodness out of that sunshine. Snow was at perfect softness then both for turning and for up-traction with scales only. Scooted to Grand Junction and back, and down Kendall. very few others had made tracks on the XC system, in sections mine were the only. Snow noticeably mushier on areas exposed to the west eg around Rockdale.

Odd that at Hyak even though we are now supposedly normal snowpack, there's a big creek hole right in the middle of low part of main face. They'll also need to re-cat a couple of the snow bridges on the traverse back from Creek, Kendall etc., the meltwater has undermined.
