Took my dog out to Source Lake by myself on Saturday just so I could get out. With low avy danger, and not being very familiar with the area, I decided to do a short/easy one. We left alpy and the temp was 18 and it was snowing at a medium pace. This marked my 25th month in a row for TAY.
The trip out to the lake was uneventful (passed several snow showers and a skier or two)
Once we got to the lake, we decided to head up some. The bowl on the other side of the lake was really nice in the snow, however there was a shitty crust layer on top which I feel will make the next week or two very crappy for stability. We got up about 300ft on the bowl and the pup decided to lay down. So I took that as my sign to turn around. Just wanted to get out and not stress things out, we strapped in and skied down the slope back to the lot.
