Summary: Enjoyed mediocre skiing conditions on the spectacular Ruby Mountain. Broke trail to about 6,500 ft due to timing and visibility. Also, everyone had previously been on the summit. 4 inches of light pow on a variable crust. Breakable in open areas, unbreakable in the trees. Easily able to ski from car to car. The lower avalanche path is not filled in with debris yet so I'm assuming nothing has slid on the deep PWL yet in that specific area.

Always nice to start this tour on snow.

The alder thrashing death swamps are now pleasant "winter meadows."

It's not all meadow skipping.

Baby bowl.

Wahoo!  Looks like the slide alder is avoidable finally  ;)
