First time exploring the area...was hoping despite the telemetry that some cold air had managed to stick around and keep the snow light. Not to be. Crust everywhere we looked, but still skiied OK- I jumped turned most of the steep stuff. Cold as we headed out at 3ish. 15 deg...freshen it up ullar!!
Reading nwac report for Sunday regarding cold snow sliding on crust reminded me that we noted the new snow on top the crust bonded very poorly. It was only an inch so we treated it mostly as sluff...it sheared off cleanly and propagated downhill quite a ways. Heads up as it gets loaded Sunday!

And then if it seriously warms up later in the week...possible collapsing of crust/step down, too?
