Amazing amount of snowfall in the last two weeks - started on the sled from Hwy 2 instead of 3 miles up the forest road.  After cleaning out a few down trees from the road we had extremely deep sledding conditions and good skiing up high. Elevations from 3000 to 4000ft had a fairly stiff rain crust and made for some grabby turns.  Skiing off the N. Face of Klinger and Grotto were great up top in the morning, but warmed up enough to call it a day by 1:30.

If anyone is interested in skiing chutes and pillows or anything in the alpine in the Hwy 2 corridor over the next couple of weeks, certainly hit me up - my usual partners are traveling for a while.

I'd be in for some sled access skiing.  Question:  how far up Foss River toward Hinman can you get?  and/or toward Lennox just south of Skykomish? or Mt David?  Clarke?

if I had a sled...i'd really want to go up chiwawa river rd.  looks like multiple wide open slopes with good tree options up to 8k.  I'm drooling.  I need a sled.  I want to start a sled co-op.  I'm desperate for sled.  Will bring beer.

Cool TR!  I've got a sled we go out every weekend, usually Salmon la Sac and the Teanaway.   PM me if you want to join in.

PM me if you get a sled.  We have lots of spots to ski around Salmon la Sac that have pretty much zero avy exposure, with quality terrain.
