Somewhat a moot point giving a conditions report given the big storm that is on the way, but I figured I'd go ahead and put up a quick TR.
CT tests that we dug, we got faint cracks at CT4 about 9" down and a Q2 shear at 24" down on CT16 (though our tap test were on slightly less than prime slope angles). The  interface between the 4-5ft of new and the old crust was better than expected.   We avoided skiing open terrain as much of it was wind affected and had a slab forming on top.  Sluff management, avoiding wind affect, and keeping to mellower slopes was the plan for the day.
Actually had a few sunbreaks earlier in the day and the wind wasn't too bad.   All aspects we skied were fun as long as we were down in the trees.
Should be a whole other ball game given all the new snow in the forecast for overnight.

Quickie iphone video of the day posted here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d356XmIsNoc
Thanks for the TR!

Have you seen the NWAC observation page? Observations can be added by anyone on their GIS page. Seems like a pretty cool tool for sharing data easily.
