Quick report for those planning on skipping the big football game to go ski on Sunday:

ScottK, Nick Dave and I headed out to the Paradise Glacier and found it in great shape. Soft snow all the way from Edith Creek Basin out to Cowlitz Rocks. From there on up the glacier, powder snow with a smooth surface and no wind effect. We topped out at about 8,500 feet opting to do a few laps rather than going higher but the upper part of the glacier seemed to be in similar condition. Some intermittent wind today and the glacier was in the sun almost the entire day from Cowlitz Rocks on up (as opposed to the Muir snowfield where there were clouds to 8,500 ft) but there was no deterioration in the snow conditions as the day went on.
Outstanding.

sweeet! I love that last photo - looks like a magazine cover.
