We were going for a NE facing line initially but with the overnight winds and new snow we changed our plans due to the exposure of our initial plans. We went for the SE chute that comes off the north ridge of Mt. Afton. We had hoped that the chute might have loaded just enough to make skiing enjoyable but not dangerous. Sadly all the snow had sluffed off on the hard sun crust. Skiing was ok once halfway down the line. Our consultation prize was the nice soft snow on the east facing pillows in the Asulkan drainage.

It seems I will still be limited to the north-east faces for the foreseeable future.
