After skiing some fantastic peaks over the past week with sub par snow we were on the search for some pooder. We had a terrain photo of a line coming off of a col between Mt. Ross and its subpeak that looked pretty good. Some friends had tried to ski it three days earlier but with the thick inversion cloud they passed by the entrance which leads into the third avalanche path on Mt. Ross and up to the chute.
This time I went with the same friends who attempted earlier but brought an altimeter. Snow was perfect for boot packing and pretty good for skiing. One of the better days so far.
Lots of Washington plates around and even some Oregon plates in the parking lots.

Now that's a BC skiing photo. Thanks - way to get it! Updated cover shot, Marcus?
