You Can't Avoid Something If You Don't Know What It Is!
FREE • Thursday, January 9 • 7 pm • REI Seattle
Presented by Scott Schell, Program Director for the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC), for the Washington Ski Touring Club.
1. Learn about backcountry conditions.
2. Understand the ingredients of an avalanche.
3. Find out how to avoid avalanches.
4. Discover the resources available for making the right decisions.
5. Enter for a chance to win a $50 REI gift card!
This is a 90-minute program, followed by a brief meeting on club activities.
Mark your calendar for Snowball, Northwest Avalanche Center's annual fundraiser, on January 30 at the Seattle Design Center. It features delicious food and beverages and great silent and live auction items ... all to support avalanche safety.
