Thanks to yesterday's Alpentalics for leaving us lots of untracked snow. Today was low wind, 6-8" sugary soft snow on a firm base in the shade and below rIdgecrests. Thin coverage in the trees below 4000' was challenging, local terrain knowledge was very helpful. Fun day before more too high level precipitation is due to arrive.
