Needed to break in a few new toys, headed up fully expecting a skating rink over creek beds. Reality was slightly more kind: Refrozen leftovers with a soft, sometimes carveable crust. Higher elevations really only get you better coverage, not much else. Sun was fighting to break through all afternoon, but ultimately lost. Long story short: Better than not skiing, but not by much.
