Quick trip up to a few hundred feet below Silver Peak summit on the NW ridge via Olallie Meadow. Thin breakable crust most of the way up with a harder supportable crust on SW slopes leading to Annette lake. Presumably these were from periods of rain the day before (and/or previous rains or melt-freeze events). We were hoping the sun might soften these crusts up a bit but considering we had to be back in Seattle by 2 that proved too optimistic. Great weather though.

Thanks! We did a little exploring towards the summit after dropping off our skis. Good eye...

As we were skiing down we saw some people climbing up the SE face of Silver. Does anyone know how you get there? Is that accessible via the PCT from Windy Pass?

Yep, with good tree skiing in right conditions on high avy hazard days.    Access to the summit has steepness unless you traverse all the way to the south ridge:
