December 19-20, 2013, Burstal Pass and Rogers Pass

Tried to ski Burstal Pass in K country on the 19th but due to massive skin failure and subsequent tail clip snapping I settled for taking pictures in the meadow below the pass. Snow quality was excellent with 25cm of skin pen and 30cm of very dry new snow. Temp was -20C.

Went to the brake check stop area before the Fidelity Tunnels in Rogers Pass on the 20th. For those who don't know this area simply follow the logging road that turns into an atv road up directly from the parking lot to achieve success. Very good skiing above 1100m. 15-20cm ski pen. Skied the obvious avy path.

Going to tour around Apex Mountain Resort today but there was freezing drizzle overnight so who knows how today will turn out. Good to stretch the legs I guess.
