Hiked from chair 5 up to NE bowl at 6300' elevation. Bowl held settled powder boot deep that skied nicely but was a bit affected by the warming temp as the day proceeded, still last run was good.
Dug a pit first with up to 8 inches of fresh on top of a hardened slab a few inches thick with settling snow underneath for several feet and then a lighter snow down below but still dense enough to show settlement.
Ski cutting showed stability of the snow pack.
