December 13 Stevens Pass - Skyline Ridge

1:15PM start from lot.  32F at pass and slight drizzle.  Well packed out trail to 1st cell tower -- broke track to and across Skyline Lake.  Lots of clumping on the skins when breaking track.  Skied low angle line down Nason creek side, "whipped potatos" consistency snow, but shallow enough new snow depth over the firm base that it was skiable -- at about to 4600ft open creeks discouraged further descent.  Mega skin clumping on the uptrack.  Road down was hard packed and fast.  Short cutting the road zig-zags yielded some enjoyable turns in a brush and trees make good slalom gates kind of way.    Drizzle came and went during this outing -- but I never saw any snowflakes falling.
