Dec 7, 2013, - Lichtenberg Mtn

We climbed up Lichtenberg from Smith Brook on Saturday... frigid temperatures kept us on the move all day, but it was surprisingly pleasant in the sun. We skiied an east aspect off the summit ridge and enjoyed excellent snow down to the lake. Plenty more fun was had below the lake too, though a bit more care was required in some of the boulder fields. More than a few grind moves were pulled on down trees without intention. Crossing of the brook further downstream yielded further antics... suffice it to say the ice shelves along the side of the creek were very strong!
