Trying approach through minimal coverage for the first 1500-2000 vf but was able to skin the whole way. Robust snowpack started about where you gain the southern ridge. Got above the inversion as we got above treeline. Some wind crust at the top but really nice powder turns down the west face getting better and better as we got into the clouds.

Great skiing into the east bowl and down the ridge to where we had to put the skis on the pack and boot down.

Love that first shot!

Where did you park?

Just across the street from the TH. Shouders of the highway are plowed on both sides.

I'm not sure what you mean by TH? That's probably a stupid question.

Trail Head! I am dumber than I look.

Did you essentially follow the summer trail before you gained the southern ridge?

And where is the summer trail?

Yes. We were able to skin but at this point, especially after we down-hiked it, its probably easier to boot up.

Nice pictures.

nice photos pete! Looks like a good time

Have to agree on the photos… Nice lighting.  Looks like the snow was fun.

Nice pictures!  What were temperatures like?

Cold. But a bit warmer and more pleasant above the inversion. Minimal wind.
