12/5/13 Alpental
« on: 12/05/13, 11:37 PM »

Friend and I decided to head up to Snoqualmie and see how things are looking. Coverage is thin so we headed to Alpi with the hopes of getting a lap or two in around chair 2. Skinable, but definitely not skiable from the base.  We skinned under Sessel hoping to catch cascade traverse to the top of chair 1, but it was a still a boulder field. Skinned up a little bit of lower Nash before giving up and calling it a day.  Photo is looking up at lower Nash where the traverse dumps out. Coverage is not there yet.  Hard frozen layer below 8-10" of nice light snow around 4000'.

Spoke to someone from Alpi just after parking, and they asked that we park in the lower lot by the bridge and to pass the word along.
