Some lifts were running, but not all.  Bombs echoing until around 10:30.  Skied three laps on Big Chief.  Windy, cold and got colder as the morning progressed.  Skin track filling in between laps.  Spin drift flowing over shoulders and occational face shot.  Big Chief just steep enough for turns until close to lodge where straight running required.

On drive up saw multiple accidents and spin-outs, but thankfully no ambulances.  Saw a couple spin-outs on return -- snowing but not sticking in Monroe.
Nice, Randy - way to time it!  I'm heading up tomorrow.  Let me know if you can sneak away for a tour.

The snow at Stevens pass is currently awesome. Lapped lifts all day with very few other people, and they opened 7th and Kehr's in the afternoon, so we kept getting freshies all day.

"Awesome" is an accurate description.  It's rare to get it that deep and cold - without much of a crowd.  It was Debbie's birthday and she timed it perfectly.

A couple of small pocket slabs in the lee of the cornices noted early at the top of Skyline - no surprises there.  Plenty of bombing and ski cuts by the patrol.  Small crowd and most of them tuckered out by the time they opened Chief at around 2pm.  A very nice day and a good birthday present for Deb.  It's going to remain cold - should be good for a while.
