Nov 24, 2013 - Table Mtn Circumnav

We headed into Artist Point on Saturday (23rd) and camped. Did some mellow skiing on the left over north facing stuff before enjoying the light show and stars overnight. Moonrise over Shuksan was quite epic.

Before packing out on Sunday (24th) we skiied around Table...meaning to head up to Herman saddle, but got a little climb happy and ended up on the shoulder of Table above the lake basin. Followed tracks to a sweet run on the north face and traversed back underneath. Few bonus laps underneath the ski area were still holding great snow when we left!

How was the snow on south facing slopes? Corning up?

From what we saw around there it wasn't getting cold enough at night to freeze very well. On Saturday on the way in at 10AM we were already fighting lots of heavy gloppy stuff on our skis (didn't think to bring wax....). But on Sunday at 9 or so parts of the skin track on the east side of Table was quite icy... guessing it just didn't freeze very deep so it goes from corn to mush real quick?

Beautiful Erik!  What was the streak at 28 secs - satellite, air plane or shooting star? Great photos.  Thank you.

thanks... appears like there are two planes... 22' and 28'. While I sometimes get frustrated there are so many planes / satellites in these kind of images... sometimes they help make the shot...
