Got out of town early with Amar for some Baker time. The road to the trailhead is getting heinous. We were able to drive up in the Impreza without chains, but needed them to get unstuck in the parking lot and drive down.

The route itself is in good shape. We took a hard right above the hogsback to gain Heliotrope ridge and traverse onto the main glacier from there. The bergschrund can be passed on the left, where you will have to scoot under some seracs. Around here we switched to boots and crampons.

The skiing was good on the smooth glacier, more difficult on the wind-affected sections up high and on the crust below Heliotrope. The views were stellar, especially as the sun set on our descent. Get out there while the weather's good if you have the week off!
COOL--Any more pictures?

Sweet! Did you tag the summit? It was looking pretty gnarly to cross the glacier back in early november.

I didn't take many pictures, but Amar did. Is there something you were looking for?

Yeah, we made it to the top of the dome/lower summit.

Awesome!! good work and sweet picture

Looks like good vibrations up high!

Ya mon, Jah was smiling on us
