A buddy and I decided to hit Yodelin on Sunday with the idea of skiing some mellow slopes with lots of natural anchors. The snow was cold and crisp on the way up, but at around 11 AM when we started out for our first descent, the cement was beginning to set. We managed to snake around some trees and find some fun terrain before low visibility made navigating a bit tricky. After a few runs the snow started to become very heavy as the temps rose. We ducked into the woods and headed for the road. Wet snow and thick vegetation made for classic November Cascade shenanigans. Unfortunately, we overshot the parking lot and ended up a little less than a mile up the road from our car, which was kind of embarrassing for me since I spent a considerable amount of time skiing Yodelin last season. After downclimbing a brush infested bank, we trucked along Highway 2 in what was essentially rain. Big thanks to the WSDOT snow plows who slowed down and didn't cover us in a sheet of slush!

Cool photos, despite the not-so-awesome conditions.
