Not really a "backcountry" trip, but the lifts haven't started turning at Summit yet and there was untracked snow on the ground, so we went for it. Surprisingly good, actually - despite a lot of vegetation poking through, we never hit bottom on the way up or down. Snow was a little heavy, but still unconsolidated and floaty.
Made for a short, pleasant and fun mellow tour on a Saturday morning.

Hey Brian, sorry I missed you. I was up there for a training day. Kneel Turner and I did a lap in the late afternoon. Surprised how good it was. FAT skis make the mashed potato world go round. I imagine your board floated just fine eh? Ed did at least one more lap in the gathering disk after I left. He's an iron man.
Hey Don! Sounds like a lot of the cool kids were at Snoqualmie today. :D Dunno if you know "BBq" Bob, but he was up there training today as well. Certainly decent conditions for a board.
