Thanks to Jeff and Kristy for taking me out for a great veterans day celebration.  We were able to drive to 4100' (about 5.5 miles up the Twin Lakes road.)  We found 6-10" of wet snow on a soft base.  Some young fella had made it all the way to the trailhead in his Chevy truck.  Thirteen kids had spent the night in the lookout and we enjoyed lunch with four of them who stayed for more skiing today. We finished the day with a run on heavy steep snow that had been cooking all day. It seemed well settled and fairly safe except for occasional large pinwheels. Awesome thin crust pizzas at Chair9, half price tonight for veterans!

Many thanks to all the Veterans out there, especially the ones that can get you discounted Apres!

On another note; The western most couloir on the Pleiades got skied the day prior. Check it out!
