The weatherman's forecast suggest this past Tuesday might be one of the last days of great fall weather, Not wanting to miss the opportunity to spend at least part of it in the mountains, after work, I shouldered my skis and climbed the Switchback trail to Victor Pass on Klahhane Ridge. Here I found enough snow from previous storms to scratch out a few hundred vertical feet of turns. This marked 48 consecutive months of skiing in the Olympic Mountains. the evening was capped by this sunset over Olympus and the Bailey Range.
