this will be brief due to too much i-time...

drove down saturday night through thunder and lightning which made us skeptical.

awoke to stars at 4 am at coldsping c.g.

ascended in the bluebird to the summit which was completely in the clouds.
there was some funky breakable crust on parts of the south spur

started descent via southwest chutes around 1 pm.  we (Matt, Greg, Kevin, Richard, Skip, Dave and I) were the only ski party to do so that day - I believe - in fact the mountain was really quite sparsely populated possibly due to the questionable weather report?

snow quality on the southwest chutes: a little bit of powder at the very top followed by purrrfectly creamed corn for the next 4000 feet or so.

sorry for the haiku- will try to add photos later

Nice job. So what route do you use to get back from the SW Chutes, and when did you encounter consistant snow on the way up?
