another gorgeous inversion day!
the old trade route is in good shape for both climbing and skiing. recycled sugar and some crust  on the n facing slopes below the shrund, good corn above. roman wall was nicely corned up at 1500. the shrund is passable on the left side. the right could go...but likely with two tools....or a rope. or both. aim for the toe of debris from an ice fall...a bit below is a good crossing.
skins on as soon as i hit the heliotrope snows, stayed on till the top. no pons necessary.
continuous ski is possible all the way back down if u hop a tiny weeny little crack.
best turns are up high and n the n facing heliotrope snow.
solo trip so no pictures. sorry.
go see for yourself. if the high pressure is still in you wont regret it.
as a side note....the glacier leading up to the shrund is much less open than it was before that last system hit us...while the crossings all felt pretty good (AM shadows on the way up) ..i doubt one storm produced bridges that inspire too much confidence.
