Spied the remaining little patch under the Skyline Express from the Stevens webcam while surfing on Saturday. Wild hair, saying, "I bet there's skiable snow there. Worth a shot." 6:15 AM arrival, before sunrise. Blew past the, "Warning: Blasting could occur at any moment" sign, and walked the access road up. Snow was firm, but made for nice climbing. About a foot or so at the top, with gradually decreasing depth until about 1/2 way back to the lodge. Snow was scratchy, but made for pretty good carvable turning. 600 vert, with the bonus of watching the sun rise above the clouds stuck directly in the Pass. Beautiful and quiet morning, and add my name to the TAY-celebrators, for 16 years! Way to go, all you other TAY folks!!
